Role Summary

Role Accountabilities
Reporting to the Group IT manager, the IT Support Specialist will be based in Sydney providing technical support across three Studios in Sydney CBD and St Leonards. The role involves:
Provision of direct technical support to local and remote users on installations, usage, or maintenance of company products to ensure that the system is functioning according to specifications.
Responds to user inquiries concerning system software and applications and provides immediate assistance for emergency and urgent fixes.
Creates temporary work-around for immediate user issues where appropriate.
Documents and logs all actions into database per specified guidelines.
Escalates unresolved Level 1 user issues at to Managed Service Providers or different software/hardware support systems.
Follows user issues through to completion to ensure resolution and user satisfaction have been achieved.
Works with IT and BIM team (Building Information Modelling) on hardware and software testing and reviews to assist in quality release.
Ad Hoc duties to support the Group IT team as required.
Flexibility to travel interstate to other offices in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth on occasion.

Skills
Strong customer service skills including excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to respond calmly in difficult scenarios.
Ability to think analytically and troubleshoot effectively to anticipate and provide solutions for a broad range of technical problems.
Time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
Knowledge of applications, creating and installing deployments (desirable).
Ability to understand the global corporate picture and focus toward understanding of the end user’s needs.
Systems Knowledge
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft products, Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, Exchange, Skype for Business, SharePoint etc.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and all Microsoft operating systems (required).
Some knowledge of industry standard imaging software like Adobe Suite, Sketchup, Revit/AutoCAD and Rhino (desirable).
Troubleshooting skills of Tablets and Smartphones like Surface, iPads and iPhones.
Experience with help desk ticketing software
University degree in IT or Certificate IV in IT from TAFE (desirable).
